Next up in our behind-the-scenes look at co-founder Christina Bryant Herbert’s Vogue-featured wedding, we’re sharing a peek into her Thursday night welcome party: a family-friendly beach cookout. With just 15 adults and 8 children (ages 8 and under) attending, Christina and Thomas’ families kicked off the weekend celebration in the sand with a casual night including music and beach games.

Set oceanside, one long table was set surrounded by volleyball, a playhouse, swings, a bonfire, live reggae music, and a seafood buffet. To accentuate the picnic feel, Christina chose a red poppy motif tablecloth paired with pink flowers, our green glassware, bamboo flatware, and lanterns.

Because Christina and Thomas met and married during the pandemic (more of their love story on Vogue), their families met for the first time this evening. By the end of the night, the party felt more like a family reunion than a wedding, with all ages dancing (and even enjoying the swing set!).
